All right, folks, grab your popcorn because Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) is at it again. She’s gunning for Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito this time. Why? Because they allegedly didn’t report some gifts and had political views that AOC thinks to compromise their ability to stay unbiased. Oh, the horror! The same AOC who wants to make everything political is now upset because someone else has political views. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
Let’s get real here. AOC is furious that Justice Thomas dared to question the legitimacy of the 2020 elections and the events of January 6, 2021. And she’s livid that Justice Alito’s wife supported Donald Trump and displayed flags that AOC connects to extremism. Seriously, AOC? You’re picking a fight over someone’s wife hanging a flag? It sounds like she’s running out of things to be outraged about.
This impeachment attempt isn’t about cleaning up the Supreme Court. It’s about turning it into another political circus. The usual suspects are co-sponsoring AOC’s ridiculous resolutions: Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Jamaal Bowman. And who’s backing this nonsense? A bunch of socialist NGOs and radical left-wing groups. Surprise, surprise.
Justice Alito has already explained that his wife was the one who displayed the upside-down flag and that she’s entitled to her political views. But no, that’s not good enough for AOC and her cronies. They fault Justice Alito for “allowing” his wife to express her political beliefs. Since when did it become a crime to have a politically active spouse?
Meanwhile, Justice Thomas’s wife is accused of advising Trump to fight the 2020 election results. The resolution against Thomas claims she said things like “Do not concede” and “Save us from the left taking America down.” And this is somehow grounds for impeachment? Give me a break.
One of the groups endorsing these resolutions is UltraViolet. They claim to fight for a world that represents all women. Well, it seems all women except those who support conservative views. According to UltraViolet and AOC, equality means silencing women who disagree with them. Hypocrisy much?
Then there’s the People’s Parity Project, which wants a legal system that openly takes sides. They don’t even pretend to believe in an impartial judiciary. They want the courts to be political agents pushing their left-wing agenda. They think lawyers should use the law to fight for their version of “justice.” In other words, they want to turn the courts into another tool for their social justice crusade.
NextGen America is also on board. They’re all about mobilizing young voters to support progressive causes. They claim young people dare to tackle significant challenges like climate change and racial injustice. What they mean is they want to brainwash the youth into supporting their far-left agenda.
And let’s not forget Take Back the Court. They’re outright calling for more seats on the Supreme Court to push their progressive policies. They say democracy will die unless we expand the Court. It sounds more like they want to rig the system to me.
AOC and her gang want to replace Thomas and Alito not because they did anything wrong but because their political views don’t match up with the far-left agenda. This impeachment charade is just a distraction from the real issues facing America. It’s a desperate attempt to score political points and rally the far-left base.
Here’s the kicker: the Democrats don’t have the numbers to make this happen. They don’t have a majority in the House to pass the articles of impeachment, and they certainly don’t have the two-thirds vote needed in the Senate for conviction. This whole thing is a waste of time and taxpayer money.
AOC’s hypocrisy is crystal clear. She attacks these justices for having political views she doesn’t like while pushing her extreme agenda. She claims to stand for justice but is advocating for one-party rule. The American people see through this charade. It’s time for AOC to stop playing political games and start addressing the real problems facing our country.
