No, Trump’s Not Worried About Going to Jail at All

For most of us, the threat of going to jail or spending even a minimal amount of time behind bars is enough to have us change course. However, the same danger doesn’t seem to be a threat at all for former President Donald Trump.

Or at least that’s what he recently told NBC’s “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker during an interview.

Naturally, during the Sunday interview, Welker asked Trump about the now four indictments against him and if he was at all worried about being convicted and thrown in jail for his supposed crimes.

Without hesitation, Trump responded with a resounding “no.”

He said, “No, I don’t, really. I don’t even think about it.”

Now, of course, there are a number of reasons the former president doesn’t.

For one, he explains that all of this coming against him, and during an election cycle such as this, only proves that this is all yet another attempt by the political left to take him out and render him and his name useless.

“These are corrupt people that I am dealing with.”

And since he has done nothing wrong and these people are “corrupt,” he has no rational reason to fear being put behind bars now or in the foreseeable future. Of course, he also believes in a just justice system where truth will always win out.

Secondly, and tied to the first, is that these corrupt people are “destroying our country.” And for a man like Trump, who only thinks about making this country great again, that’s a major incentive to put any would-be fears behind him and consistently push forward with his goals and the tasks he knows he needs to carry out to actually return greatness to the US.

“They are destroying our country. I don’t even think about it. All I think about is making the country great. Making America great.”

Trump has to know that if he gives in to what may be a fear for most of us and all the unquestionable stress of having four indictments against him, he’s liable to crumble in the face of his giants.

But just as David in the Bible did, Trump is standing firm. He is determined to fulfill his destiny, his life’s calling. And he truly believes that is to make America as great as possible. It also means beating these corrupt people and ensuring that our nation once again becomes a democracy led by the people.

No doubt Welker, as part of the establishment media and propaganda machine of the left, wasn’t happy with his response. It’s very thinly veiled that she was definitely trying to catch him showing some sort of weakness, anything she could throw back in his face.

But, as usual, Trump’s resolve stood tall, proving to all of us that what doesn’t kill us can indeed make us stronger. Of course, that depends on the type of person one is.

I mean, can you imagine Joe Biden undergoing the same sort of blatant attacks?

We’ve already seen Biden crumble, and he’s not enduring nearly what Trump is or has. Have you noticed how he reacts when asked a question that either catches him off guard or that he clearly doesn’t want to answer? It’s not a cool head and broad shoulders that prevail.

Instead, we are faced with a national leader prone to fits of terrifying laughter, a tongue that doesn’t work, or even rage. Hell, he has quite literally run off stage before after being asked a hard question.

Trump, on the other hand, doesn’t seem fazed in the least.

No wonder he’s the nation’s pick thus far for the 2024 presidency, leading the GOP field by more than 40 points according to most recent polling.
