Dr. Phil McGraw lit into Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar this week after she once again trashed the country that gave her a home, freedom, and a seat in Congress. On “The Real Story,” Dr. Phil laid out Omar’s journey: fleeing war-torn Somalia, spending years in a Kenyan refugee camp, getting housing, education, and freedom in America, and finally becoming one of the first Muslim women in Congress.

“She has every reason to be thankful. Is she? Not even almost!” Dr. Phil said, blasting Omar for bashing “the very country that saved her and her family.”

The spark this time was Omar’s latest rant on “Democracy Now!,” where she claimed America is becoming “one of the worst countries” while taking issue with the Army’s 250th anniversary parade. Dr. Phil called her rhetoric “disgusting” and said that while she has the right to say what she wants, voters have the right to send her packing.

“Whoever voted for her now knows who they voted for and should kick her ass to the curb!” Dr. Phil said bluntly.

Omar has a history of controversial remarks about America. Back in 2021, she equated the U.S. and Israel with terrorist groups like the Taliban and Hamas, tweeting, “We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban.” Dr. Phil labeled that “crazy talk,” reminding viewers of the absurdity of lumping America in with jihadist groups.

He also called out Omar’s infamous 2019 remarks describing the 9/11 attacks as “some people did something” during a CAIR speech, saying, “Really? ‘Some people did something’? Way to stand up for your country.”

Omar’s repeated attacks on the country she calls home have earned her criticism from across the political spectrum, but Dr. Phil’s takedown is resonating with voters tired of elected officials who tear down America while benefiting from its freedoms and opportunities.

While Omar and her defenders claim her comments are about holding America accountable, many see them as part of a pattern of hostility toward the country that allowed her to thrive. For Dr. Phil, it’s simple: if you’re going to trash America repeatedly while living off its blessings, don’t be surprised when people tell you to leave.

As America heads into another election cycle, voters in Minnesota will have to decide whether they want to keep sending Ilhan Omar to Congress, or if, as Dr. Phil put it, it’s finally time to “kick her ass to the curb.”
