Running for the 2024 Presidential election is already proving to be a monumental task for those vying for the nomination. With former President Trump dominating the polls, he has yet to show up for either of the debates televised on Fox News. This puts these candidates at a distinct disadvantage, and they aren’t gaining much by not being able to face off against the former President.

During the last debate on September 27th, Trump was asked about the nominees as he spoke to automakers in Detroit instead of debating. When asked about those who were at the debate, Trump brushed off the idea. “They’re all job candidates. They’ll do anything, secretary of something. They even say VP. I don’t know. Does anybody see any VP in the group? I don’t think so.”

This kind of statement at this juncture is very telling of how little Trump thinks of his opponents, even his former VP. Granted, it seemed like he and Mike Pence were on the outs anyway. Especially as Trump was more than receptive to fellow conservatives who saw the horrendous and underhanded tactics of liberals at the polls. Given the number of reports of voting problems, who can blame him for pushing for a thorough investigation?

For Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), this is all smoke and mirrors anyway. Appearing on Fox News Channel’s Sunday Morning Futures, he told host Maria Bartiromo that there was no other choice but President for him.

When asked what he would say if Trump asked him to join forces and run as his VP. “No, I’m running for president. We need somebody that can serve two terms. We need somebody that can win states like Georgia and Arizona, which President Trump cannot do or did not do, even though candidates like McCain and Romney had no problem winning those states. We need somebody who, and I’m the only one running including Donald Trump, everything I’ve promised the voters that I would do as governor of Florida, I’ve delivered on.”

Underscoring his efforts and vision for the country, Trump added, “We delivered budget surpluses, paying down debt, tax cut, school choice, parents’ rights, banning sanctuary cities, expanding Second Amendment rights. All and all down the line, I promised, and I deliver. And that’s really what we need because the country is in decline.”

DeSantis has some points here.

Given all the damage done by Biden in just a single term, it seems as if he picked up the baton where Obama left it. Then started running the 40-yard dash as fast as his trippy legs could take him. Needless to say, this has not been a positive Presidency for the American people. By getting in someone like DeSantis, we can undo the damage of Biden and then rebuild. While that might sound like a gargantuan order, this is the kind of change the American people need to see to realize just how bad it got.

Taking it back to square one is a priority for DeSantis. After being forced into a vicious cock fight with Disney over the rights of its workers, the discussion on transgenders and drag queen story time, and he has had a massive problem. Not to mention the number of Nazis who showed up outside Disney to protest the company and seemingly also share a pro-conservative message. The liberal mainstream media had a field day with that and with attaching them to DeSantis.

Setting a lofty goal like President or Bust is a big one for DeSantis. While not a negative message to send constituents, it also tells the American people he is refusing to hear any ideas that may be contradictory to his own. This kind of bullheadedness is exactly what we have been putting up with from Biden and what Obama did to America as well. While Trump tried being the olive branch to mend fences, they simply attacked him for it.

Perhaps that’s what we’ve come to as a country; for us or against us. This would then make this call by DeSantis unmitigated genius.
