Republican voters were nauseated a few days ago when House Republicans failed to censure serial liar and chief Russia hoaxer Adam Schiff. The California Democrat was facing censure and a $16 million fine for abusing his power and fomenting the Russia hoax while serving as Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.20 Republicans crossed the aisle to vote with Democrats and rescue Schiff. However, Schiff may not be off the hook yet.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) now says she will file a privileged motion to censure Schiff next week and to refer him to the House Ethics Committee. Since Schiff would not be subject to a $16 million fine, that might be a little more palatable to the GOP cowards who voted to table the motion. Elected Republicans are never willing to fight on behalf of the American people.
Luna has been fiercely working on behalf of the voters to get serial liar Schiff kicked out of Congress completely. Unfortunately, many of her spineless colleagues in the Republican Party are too afraid to use power when they have it. Schiff lied to the American people for years by claiming there was “more than circumstantial evidence” that Donald Trump had colluded with Vladimir Putin.
The moment that Democrats gained a 1-seat majority in the House in 2018, they impeached President Trump. Twice! Since Trump left office, the Democrat Party has indicted him twice on false charges in two different states. Plus, they’ve sued him approximately 437,000 times now.
Yet when Republicans regained power in the House after the 2022 midterms, they can’t seem to do anything to deliver some much-needed retaliation to the Democrats. Adam Schiff shouldn’t even be in office anymore after abusing his power for political advantage the way he did.
